Program Description:
The summer courses in July and August have contributed to the unique atmosphere of the University of Freiburg for more than 100 years. Nestled at the foot of the Black Forest mountains, Germany's Green City with its historical monuments and ecological policy offers a classic blend of old and new. The diverse cultural life of the city and the long-standing university will ensure that you have a great and inspiring time.  German language and culture courses offered at all levels.

July Session: SCU Students are able to attend the July session for academic credit.  Unlike the August session, the July session requires existing knowledge of German in order to be eligible and are responsible for finding their own housing.

August Session: SCU Students are able to attend the August session for academic credit.  Beginner classes to advanced classes are available.  Students are required to live in program housing.

Eligible students are able to participate in both sessions.

Students should review full eligibility requirements for SCU's Study Abroad Program.

Students are required to live in program housing. Independent housing is not permitted by SCU.

Program-specific GPA is subject to change. Be sure to confirm GPA on program's website. If program GPA is under 2.75, you are still subject to SCU's 2.75 minimum.
