Program Description:
Studying abroad in Dakar on this program will allow students to: 1) Spend a summer exploring one of the most exciting countries in West Africa 2) Take innovative courses in Senegalese history, politics, literature, education, religion, and public health and development issues 3) Learn firsthand about Senegalese society through homestays with local families and community engagement opportunities at local NGOs and other organizations 4) Explore Senegalese society and culture through special field trips and excursions to places such as Saint Louis, Toubab Dialaw, Gorée Island, and local museums.

Students should review full eligibility requirements for SCU's Study Abroad Program.

Accommodation    
Students are required to live in program housing. Independent housing is not permitted by SCU.

GPA
Program-specific GPA is subject to change. Be sure to confirm GPA on program's website. If program GPA is under 2.75, you are still subject to SCU's 2.75 minimum.
